Through the use of formalized assessments, cutting edge organizational theory, unique experiential activities, and premier facilities located on the grounds of The Hotel Hershey, The Hershey Leadership & Development Center provides creative and effective programs for group training and development, whether predesigned or customized to the client's needs. The Odyssey:

Quite possibly one of the largest jungle gyms you have ever seen. The Odyssey is bound to present a challenge. While on your excursion, you will negotiate various rope obstacles from bridges to walls, learn the art of climbing, and ride a zip line to the finish.

Adventures are offered by appointment.

Orienteering/Geocaching:

Explore the magnificent grounds of Hershey on an outdoor treasure hunt while using a Global Positioning System or other navigational tools. Participants are provided a backpack with all of the necessary tools and instructions. Ideal for small groups or individuals looking for a challenge, geocaching is one outdoor challenge you won't soon forget.

Kayaking:

Through one of our paddling clinics, you'll discover the thrills of recreational kayaking. The clinic covers the basics of river safety and paddling on the Swatara Creek or the Susquehanna River. Our large selection of boats and ability to safely handle participants of most ages makes this a favorite trip for all.

Fly-Fishing/Casting:

Witness the beautiful waters of Dauphin County Pennsylvania while you learn the art of fly-casting and fishing. Learn casting techniques, stream entomology, fly selection, and much more. Whether you choose a fly-casting lesson or half day fly-fishing clinic, you are sure to walk away with a greater appreciation for all that fly-fishing has to offer. Our expert guides can coach guests of all skill levels, making this a great trip for anyone with an interest in fly-fishing.
